Windows Phone Posts Unexpectedly Good Results As Windows 10 Mobile Is Just Around the Corner - Softpedia
More specifically, Windows Phone has a market share of 7.6 percent in Germany, up 0.5 points from the same period the year before, while in the United Kingdom, it actually lost 0.3 percent to settle at 9.8 percent.
Things are still going well in France, where Windows Phone now has a share of 12.3 percent, up 1.7 points, but also in Australia, as it increased 1.2 points to 7.4 percent there.
Not the same thing can be said about the United States, though, where the lack of flagships is still causing a decline. Android is the number one platform in the country with 65.9 percent, followed by iOS with 29.2 percent, and Windows Phone with 3.9 percent. This is a decline of 0.4 percent for Microsoft platform.
In EU5, Windows Phone still has a market share above 10 percent, which shows that the biggest markets in Europe are still bringing better sales to Microsoft as far as its mobile platform is concerned and when compared to non-European countries.
