Send Emails with Cortana

I have been looking high and low for an answer on how to use Cortana to send emails. It seems like "send email" or "send mail" do not work. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as I send email much more often than I would text someone.

You can tell Cortana to compose a note; this will create a note in OneNote, which you can then share through email.

I'd settle for just being able to say "Read me my emails" (or hell, even "read me my notifications") for now.

For me "Send an email" brings up the send and email to contact page, and "Send and email to name" sometimes offers to send to correct contact.
