send to XBMC apps

Hi Guys, one thing I miss from Android is the option to send video links, specially YouTube ones, to my xbmc media centre.

WP has no app that can do this afaik. I want to know if anyone is willing to make one. I have plenty of time but barely know where/how to start.

Does anyone know how I can get this started? please I really miss this type of feature.

My plan is to create a simple YouTube searcher, and once I click on a video the app would send it to XBMC. Also create a URI so any app can implement this feature. Like twabitt does with YT videos, it plays them on MetroTube, would be nice to have pop up option with Send2XBMC or MetroTube.

Im willing to work hard at this, but just need a kick start. im not experienced coder

Yep, it works great. I have it on the Raspberry Pi

I had no idea a Raspberry Pi was powerful enough to run multimedia without lag.

You still have Linux Mint correct? Go to Software Manager and type XBMC in the search. I just installed it on Mint

It runs very well on the Pi.
Can't to be able to send video links direct to the Pi from my WP 😊. You should try xbmc if you haven't
