Sharing One drive folders with a family member

I am a new user of Microsoft Onedrive. I have an account with my wife as a family member.

We would like to share certain folders in Onedrive and, if possible, have them synced to our computers.

I have read many webpages and viewed many videos but I am still confused as how to accomplish the sharing of Onedrive folders and how to sync folder between computer and Onedrive.

If syncing is set up between a computer and Onedrive which takes precedence or is the syncing only one way?

PC and OneDrive sync is two-ways. Conflicts I believe result in duplicated files.

I am not sure how to share folders between OneDrive however.
