Should I be worried about buying a Lumia 950?

I don't know if I should invest in the Lumia 950? The hardware seems great but the software seems questionable at best. 10586 or whatever build is suppose to come out is missing in action. How do you expect people to be excited and spend their hard earned money if they don't even have a stable build. If the 950 comes out with some of the bugs that 10581 have that would be unacceptable.

I'm very excited for the 950! Windows 10 Mobile is headed in the right direction. I'm sure I'm not the only one!

The OS is always going to be a work in progress no matter what platform you choose. iOS seems to be the most stable out of the box, but even still, they have bugs and have to push patches on a regular basis. My opinion is not to worry too much about bugs, and if it really is a huge concern why don't you hold off on purchasing the phone until you've seen enough feedback from users on system stability.

If you get it direct from Microsoft then you should get updates pretty quickly.

Speaking as someone who now has one - the OS is fine but there are a few little glitches here or there that need fixing. The only thing I've had trouble with is the messaging app and photos app occasionally crashing. Something that can easily be fixed with app updates.

Other than that - the core OS and phone experience are fine.
