Should people really believe on Microsoft Phones

Many are waiting for the Surface Phones, but my question should we really believe in Microsoft Phones?
I have a Lumia 950XL, my battery got swollen and I went to Microsoft Care center for a replacement battery but they do not have any replacement batteries; they don't have any clues when they will get it. If they completely stop support for a flagship phone in 1 year, how could we believe in Microsoft?

The difference is, if they release a surface phone (big IF) then they will most probably support it properly like all their other hardware. It will be a serious attempt at mobile again. Whereas the last of the lumias, MS never really had their heart in them. They released them because they were already in the pipeline, from what I understand.
