Should you hard reset your device before sending it to Nokia Care?

Hi,

I decided to send my Nokia Lumia 930 to the Nokia Support in Germany (overheating, touchscreen problems). However I am not sure whether I should hard reset the device before sending it. On the one hand I don't want the staff there to take a look at my personal data but on the other hand they maybe need my setup to analyze the problem etc.

Thanks in advance

Never give your phone with your personal information to anyone would be my honest suggestion. Hard reset, remove permissions and remove the SD card whenever handing in your device.

It's standard procedure to hard reset anyway prior to a hardware repair of any kind, though. Even if they don't do anything to the hardware, unless you specify it yourself, they will hard reset.
