Sideloading apps

I have a lumia 920, so no SD card support, nor do I have Win8 installed, so I can't use WP8 SDK tools.
Is there any other way of sideloading apps ?

You can upload your app in Skydrive, then download it on your device, but again MS verifies the apps through store.

I don't seem to be able to dowload it to the device from sky drive.

IE doesn't natively support xap files.

If you can download from SjyDrive, why not to download from store? Or you want to install app you did not buy? The forget about it. This is not holedroid where no one can prevents people from steeling applications.

I just want to sideload the screen orientation lock xap.

Download it to your PC then use the Application Deployment Tool to transfer it to your 920. (You'll need to upgrade to Windows 8/ 8.1 though)

My point, basically was, if there was a way to do it without the deployment app.
And why did MS make it Win8 only, did they want to f**k people over, or what?

This is what I did. You need to have a developer account though.
