SIM detection

I have two 920s with me now, and it seems that it takes roughly 10 seconds to detect the SIM has been ejected, and is unable to detect it when re-inserted without a phone restart. Never had such issue with any other phones before. Do anyone of you have this problem?

with many phones yes. I don't think its an issue as much as its just not needed..but I could be wrong

I had to do the same thing with a Lumia 900 and an HTC One X. I just figured it was a fact of life that for the phone to detect a new SIM has been inserted, one must reboot said phone.

I see. Sorry, the phones I used in the past (including Nokias) were all able to detect when the SIM is reinserted without a restart. Didn't know both ways were common. Thanks.
