Since upgrading, my PC cannot read all the files on my external hard drive. How can I get this working?

Since upgrading, my PC cannot read all the files on my external hard drive

I can see the two main folders; one just has a couple of video files, which I can see and play. The other folder has several sub-folders, and a couple of video files outside of the sub folders, but File Explorer says this main folder is empty so I cannot access them

Are these in your OneDrive? If so, right-click the OneDrive icon (near the clock), click Settings, and Choose Folders.... make sure those folders are selected to appear on this computer.

No, it is nothing to do with Onedrive. It is an external hard drive connected by USB to my PC.
