Since upgrading to Windows 10 why does PowerPoint not work?

I upgraded to windows 10, 4 days ago, now PowerPoint (office 2010) does not load

Do you happen to be an Avast user? it's been known not to play nice, unless you have this: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=175753.0

If you're using a different anti virus program, shut it off for a few minutes and try to open your powerpoint file again
