Software updates has fixed my phone: It has stopped the spontaneously restarts. The network failure is minimal and it does not turn off anymore when I use my fatboy charger.

But:
It has lived all its life with foil and the original CC-1043 cover.
Is there anyone in here who have not used cover and can report back if the display and cabinet can cope the daily hardships?
My foil needs to be replaced and my cabinet "polishing scratches" from encapsulated sand between the cover and phone.
It is therefore tempting to just drop both things and let the phone be phone.

Inputs?

I have a silicone cover and dont use it much. I have a horizontal case which I use most of the time and cometimes the phone is in my shirt pocket or my blazer without anything. I have the white and it has held up well with no visible scrathes etc. I've had it about 8 months.

I dropped mine from waist height and all that happened was a small chip in the top right corner of the case.
Back of the case has a few scratches but these are only visible if you actually look for them.
Glass is scratched like mad.
