Slowness to establish a call in the UWP app

I've been testing the new UWP app for the past few days. I noticed that when making a call, it takes about 30 seconds for the call to establish/ring to the other person. That's annoying and much slower than in the desktop or WP 8.1 app. I've tested this with a Skype contact and a landline number from my phone and tablet and the result is the same.

Anyone else with this issue?

This seems to be an issue with the current version, hopefully the next update solves it
