So I've shattered my Lumia 900 screen. What now?

So as I'm having to write this all again as my internet dropped out after I clicked "Submit New Thread", I'm going to keep it short and sweet:

It'll cost me between $200 and $300 to replace the screen. I'm considering just buying another unlocked Lumia 900 for just under $300 instead. I'm a big camera phone person and LOVE the 1020, but it's out of my price range for now. I happy with my phone's camera but haven't played with a 1020 to know the difference between the two. I've had a play with the 925 and 920 and they seemed to have mainly improved in low light conditions and quality of image. A 920 will cost between $400 and $500 unlocked and a 925 between $500 and $600 unlocked (in Australia). Another option is getting an iPhone (reasons being that apps are more readily available on iPhones and Andriods ((don't like Andriods)) than on WP phones eg. Snapchat and ING Direct Banking in Aus) BUT I'm already used to the larger screen of the Lumia AND I dropped my Lumia around 12 times before the screen shattered, you drop an iPhone once or twice and it's shattered.

What is everyone's opinion?

P.S. I wasn't sure where to post this as it's not directed at one particular phone.

Can you not just fix the screen yourself ?? Parts are so cheap on ebay

Around $130-$150. One store quoted $200 inc. labour, another $285. I figured I was better off starting with a new phone that doesn't have any bumps or bruises. Then I considered getting the same phone for the same price as it would cost to get the screen replaced by a retailer. And then I considered upgrading to the 920 where I found the cheapest price, with priority delivery at $370... So... I don't know... My partner has convinced me otherwise and to wait another 2 weeks... Not sure I want to risk having glass in my fingers and face, even with a screen cover on it.

In Australia? Not so much. I found 1 or 2 on eBay, still a decent asking price for second hand. May as well buy new.

I'd rather buy another device on wp8 platform with that money.
