I contacted Overdrive to see if anything was in the works for updates to the mobile app (because it's freaking awful to read epubs on), and did get a somewhat encouraging response (if with the standard ... some unknown time in the future ... at least it's in the works):
"Our team is working on a new version of the Windows app to be released in the near future, and this version will include improvements and better compatibility with Windows 10.
Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated time of completion for this app. Please check for updates to the OverDrive app in the Windows App Store on your device, just as you would any other app. We appreciate your patience as we work to make a better Windows app for our users."
