Someone went from / or compared Lumia 830 to 640 XL ?

Hi folks,

I actually have the Lumia 830 and I really love it. I am looking at the 640 XL mainly for the bigger screen. However, since I only can buy it online, I can't get a feeling of it. What I am looking is the difference in screen tough feeling. What I really like on the 830 is the feeling of the glass. It is like they have put some coating on it that makes it feels high quality and extremely easy to clean. Before the 830, I had the 635 and this phone has a complete different touch feeling and is very much more prone to become dirty and more difficult to clean. I am not sure if I describe it correctly though. So I would like to know if the screen of the 640 XL is comparable to the 830 or the 635.

I think the Lumia 830 has an oleophobic coating whereas the cheaper Lumia devices do not have this coating. Good luck.I have had the 635, 830 and the 640. But since I always put a screen protector on the phone as soon as I get the device, I really cannot help you out any further.

the two 640XL phones we own have oleophobic coatings on it. I believe it's rare nowadays to get gorilla 3 glass without that. As tour concern about the touch and swipe feeling it's the same for us as it was on the L830. I have an L520 backup phone and I know what you mean by "complete different touch feeling". The L520 does not have gorilla glas.

In summary, both my wife and I enjoy the experience and we hardly look back to the L830.
