Sound call issues

Sometimes when I make a phone call to someone or someone makes a call to me I can't listen to anything, if I look to the phone, the call is counting the seconds but no sound comes out, I think that this is because of listening to music with my headset and somehow the phone still thinks the headset is on. I need to reset the phone to be able to make the call, does anybody else has this problem?
