Sound crackling when screen is off

Hi guys
Does anyone else have crackling sound if you turn the screen off while playing music,
Doesnt happen all the time but 90% of the time it does.

Yes, I am having this issue and it's driving me nuts because I have to turn my screen on every 10 minutes to get the sound back to normal!

Same problem here. Really annoying.

Same here. At first I thought I had overdriven my speakers -- was happy when I realized they weren't -- then sad again when I realized this was always going to happen when the screen turned off.

Got an intel driver update today from the my dell thing that seems to have fixed this. Listened to music with screen off for over an hour so far perfect.

There ate no new drivers on the Dell site.
Could you be more specific?

Probably the platform driver (driver to the Atom chipset which includes audio and video) released late last year. He probably didn't check the drivers too often.

Im not sure what I updated it popped up in the bottom corner in a dell pop up but since then ive looked for it but couldn't find it. still seems to be fixed though
