Sound Issues on new 8X

Hello,

I just purchased a new 8X and most everything is going great, except for a couple of nagging sound issues.

1. Some pairs of headphones do not work. When I plug in the headphones, nothing appears to happen. I can move the plug around inside the speaker port and I'll see the beats audio notification pop-up. However, as soon as I set the phone down the connection is lost. I have had issues on an apple pair, and an old pair that I got with an nexus one. Both of these pairs of headphones have issues. I purchased a new Sony pair, that appears to have no issues. Is this normal?

2. More importantly, when I am streaming on 3G (I'll need to test WIFI) after about 30 seconds or so the sound stops. I am thinking this happens when the screen is locked. When I unlock the screen and go back to the app, it will say resuming. I would like to stream music and lock the phone and have it continue to play. Has anyone else seen this?

1) that could either be a problem with those headphones or with the jack.

2) what app are you using to stream music?
