Spazzy keyboard

Went from a 920 to an 830 (only because my 920 broke).

Overall, I don't like it to be honest, but it will do until a new flagship comes out. But I have one annoying problem.

When using the keyboard, the thing is super spazzy, like, it starts just freaking out. I've accidently sent about 5 text messages that weren't completed yet because the app bar pops up in the middle of typing. It's like the skin on my hand that's holding the phone is contacting the side which is super sensitive and it starts freaking out.

I tested this on two 830s and had the same problem.

Anyone else have this? Maybe a case will settle this down?

My RM-985 variant doesn't have any issues you mentioned. I don't have a screen protector installed and I have the touch sensitivity turned down

...nor does my RM-985 have any issues. No screen protector and touch sensitivity set on high. The phone has been trouble-free since I've had it. I've no clue what would cause the problem you're having :-/

Nope neither do I im using the rm-985 to be more specific

hmm... I have RM-983

It's like the flabby flesh near the base of my thumb/palm constantly hit the shift button, 123 button, and appbar. so it constantly looks like its freaking out switching between case, numbers and symbols and bringing the appbar up. It's a real pain

It makes one handed thumb typing impossible.

I've been through six Lumia 830s (dont ask -_-... though it's all documented in the forums)... none of them had any of the issues you mentioned. Touch response has been flawless for me. Love the phone.
