Spotify App on Windows Phone - does it work anymore

I still have the app. When it fires up - 'error could not be started'.

MS...you couldn't have supported it till the end of this year?

It never worked reliably for me. Most of the time when I'd try to play something, it wouldn't. Often, it wouldn't start up.

The windows 10 desktop app, that appears to work quite well.

Working for me on my 950XL

Works for me on my 2 lumia 950 xl and my lumia 925 on latest wm10 AU build. Can be buggy at times but still mostly works ok.

Can't say I haven't experienced an occassional crash, but otherwise works well on my 950XL

It never worked for my when I had an X3. I just ended up using Groove and OneDrive instead, and then MS killed that too.

MS basically abandoned a user base. I really don't trust them for products and services. 2019 is Android and the dumping of MS stuff....
I deserve a phone that works!

I saw someone say that you have to close all other apps and then open it. That usually works for me or a fresh restart.

It works for me most of the time but when it fails to load I soft reset by holding the power button down until the phone reboots. After that it loads and works fine.

I really miss Groove and the search for music function with Cortana.

Just use Spoticast like everyone else. Works great.

Noticing that everyone who says it works is on a L950XL, I'm on a L950 and it isn't good at all, as it works occasionally. If the app starts, it won't play music.

With that said, the app hasn't seen an update in a really long time.

Spoticast was updated yet again only today. Why use a broken, abandoned app when a working, supported app is available?

Just downloaded new installation on my Nokia Icon. Works great. Running latest 10 for WM.
