Can someone please help with this? a friend of mine got a Lumia 950. After his first one he had to return to the store because it was sucking down battery for over a week like a drunk at an open bar wedding. This one, the second one, will not do any updates nor download any apps. It just sits there at "Starting Download" ... I have found very little information about this online. Having gotten rid of my own 950XL (battery and stability issues) I am ready to tell him to just go get an android. here are the steps taken so far:
(1) soft reset w/ airplane mode on and cellular/wireless off
(2) connect to store with just data (cellular)
didn't work, so
(3) see #1
(4) Connect to store with only wifi
didn't work
Next step? Please don't say hard reset. This is a BRAND NEW PHONE in which nothing has been restored to. Also I have chekced his microsoft account and he has no license issues.
