Stellaris 'Distant Stars' expansion gets long-awaited release date

Today, Paradox Interactive revealed that the "Distant Stars" expansion for Stellaris should launch on May 22, 2018. Distant Stars is a new story pack which transports players to uncharted solar systems. For $9.99, the pack should add new content and features including a sealed jump lane in the gateway network leading to a mysterious sector entirely outside of known space, but players must be quick as the mightiest empires of the galaxy are all racing to find the secret to unlock it.
