Straight talk speeds on Lumia 1020

How are everyone's ST speeds on the phone? I have a work provided AT&T iPhone 5 and whenever I test the 2 phones via speedtest.net app, I never get higher than around 8Mbps on my Lumia on ST. My AT&T ip5 is always higher... I'm in the bay area, cali. Seems like they are throttling my speeds heavily and all the time. I'm already miffed I couldn't get the the phone unlocked to use on Tmo and having to go to ST and paying $15/m more so throttling my speeds makes it even worst. Are there any LTE MVNO's in the US other than ST that uses AT&T? I don't care for unlimited but at least 1-2gb/m would suffice.

I've checked out the wiki list of MVNO's using AT&T's networks and none of them are priced what I want for what they provide...

All my tests are done when I have LTE which is pretty much all the time unless I'm connected to wifi at work or home. I continue to test every so often with both phones and always my iphone 5 on AT&T proper gets higher speeds than my Lumia on ST... annoys me so much but paying $45/m for somewhat unlimited is still not a bad deal... especially with no contract...
