strange issue with the built in messaging app

Hey, sorry if this issue has been brought up,before but i couldn't find any reference to it! On a lumia 520 messages stopped being viewable in the messaging app. I could see them arrive via toast notifications and read most of the message, but they weren't available to read if there was already a thread in the app. Messages would be readable when the thread was deleted but the phone would then not show the threads in chronological order of when the last message was received! This has been on going for a few weeks. I had a similar issue happen with a lumia 925 but it went away after a couple of hours. This issue persisted through a factory reset! Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

That sounds really strange, and I haven't heard of it before, unfortunately I don't know what to do about it though... :unhappy:

Bit of a silly question but are your date and time settings correct and have you set the correct time zone?

This...i have tried this and new texts do not appear at the bottom of the thread if the time and date are not correct.
