strange printer issue

I have an Epson XP 400 printer. It works great. All is fine on my W7 laptop and a W10 laptop. But my other W10 laptop is weird.

If I see something I want to print, turn on the printer, and print, it says the printer is offline.

But the document is in the print queue. If I restart the computer, it immediately recognizes the printer and the queue document gets printed right away.

Keep in mind the other computers work perfectly with the printer.

Suggestions on how to proceed?

Thanks. Would the driver only stay on the problem computer? I'm hesitant to change anything on the other 2 computers.

I assume I would get on the Epson site and d/l latest .drv to the problem laptop

Yes, laptop came with w10

don't need to touch the computers you are not having any problems with. yep, get the driver from the epson site.

so is it okey now? because I have the same trouble and don't know what to do :( did u solve the problem? My bf recommended me to buy a new printer from the last generation, which can be easily connected to new devices and laptops. I had not so much money for the expensive one. My friend said that on this web - site www.mrdepot.ca I could find a bunch of office supplies. They provide high - quality printers and cartridges. Furthermore, they have free delivery! I am 100% happy with my new multifunctional printer! If u are still searching for a good printer, don’t waste time and look over this site!

Thanks for the replies. I found the original disk that came with the printer (12 years ago or so). Installed everything from that disk. Now it works perfectly. Kind of the reverse of upgrading drivers!

Excellent. Likely that the drivers were updated automatically on re-installation, by Windows if not Epson.
