Hello! I'm somewhat new to Windows Phone development, but I've already created and published an app called StrikeDistance.
It has been available since April, 2014, but I recently updated it with a complete redesign, so I thought now would be a good time to put it into the spotlight.
If you do download the app, please rate/review and use the 'Send feedback' button in the app bar to help improve StrikeDistance.
Those functions will help spread the word about StrikeDistance and help me improve it.

Thanks!

StrikeDistance is a calculator that determines the distance between you and a lightning strike. Using scientific and algebraic formulas, StrikeDistance accurately yet quickly figures out the result. Also, StrikeDistance doesn't lock you in by using only the Metric or Imperial Systems; instead, it provides the ability to mix and match supported temperature, distance, speed, and pressure units to create an experience that is easy to understand. However, what if you want to get as many details as possible (for you meteorologists)? Well, flip on 'Verbose Mode' to see data from chosen units and conversion and calculation math. Best of all, with StrikeDistance 2.0, you can now use your geolocation to get precise weather data to see at a glimpse (provided by Weather Underground). With all of this, StrikeDistance creates a unique and fun way to see how far away the lightning struck.
