Hey guys. I'm thinking of getting a surface pro 2 and would really appreciate it if someone could talk me through the student discount process on Microsoft Store US website. What sort of information do they need to prove that I am a student ?
Thanks in advance.

IIRC, you will be asked to pick your school out of a list and you will need a school email account. They will send you an email to said account and you click on a link to verify.

Thanks for that. I tried a checkout and it doesn't seem to ask for school email address. Just asks to login to Microsoft account. They probably check for school verification later on.

There was as sign up page on Microsoftstore.com
you had to enter your .edu email in there and then they would email you a coupon code code for 10% off

I believe these codes were very limited, so they might not be around anymore

Education section shows discounted prices without the use of .edu email. Maybe the coupon code system has been replaced
