I think u download moliplayer by changing region china.
First of all go to settings n change language to English.
Make sure that u have subtitles file I u r mobile then play video then on right side below there is menu button of three dot (...) click it then there is option of subtitles click it.

Vlc is stable enough. Especially after so many updates it has got in the previous weeks. I am using I more often than any other player.
