Simple poll: How often the display driver of your Surface 2 (NOT RT or Pro) crashes?

It happens daily to me. My S2 is fully up to date.

I would like to know if it is "normal" or I have faulty hardware (although all other hardware aspects seem to work flawlessly)

Thanks!!

UPDATE: Just in case someone is still confused, when I say a Surface 2, I mean the one with ARM based Nvidia Tegra 4 SoC, the gray color one, the one without wacom stylus, the one than cannot run classic desktop sofware aside from the included Office...

Do you have a Surface 2 RT or Surface 2 Pro?
Not sure if joking...:eck: but anyway , I have seen many people confused by Surface naming so let's list all the Surface devices:

  1. Surface RT
  2. Surface Pro
  3. Surface 2
  4. Surface Pro 2
  5. Surface Pro 3

I am afraid that there is not such a thing as a "Surface 2 RT" or "Surface RT 2". After the original Surface RT Microsoft decided to drop RT from the naming scheme to avoid further confusion between ARM based and Intel based ("Full Windows") Surface tablets.

I said I have a Surface 2, and I specificaly added "No RT or Pro", so only one option left. Why was that confusing? Honestly, I thought it was very clear, hehe.:sweaty::confused:. Sorry anyway!

That particular device runs Windows 8.1 RT, so I edited the poll question, since "No RT" is not applicable.

To me "RT or Pro" clearly means "Original Surface RT" or "Surface Pro X". I am talking about Surface , not Windows. IMHO, you are mixing both thing (I know Microsoft naming scheme can be confusing or misleading, hehe).

In any case, if you think that now it is more clear, it is fine to me. I also update my first post.

Cheers!

This happens to me, every day. Very annoying and when it happens the whole device crawls to a standstill and needs rebooting.

I've had my surface 2 rt since August 31 of this year and I haven't had the display driver crash at all and I keep my surface up to date.

My Surface 2 Display driver still crashes. It's fully up to date, and I've reinstalled the driver. I'm thinking it's a hardware problem now.
