If anyone does not know, Intel/MS released an Intel HD graphics update on the 8/4/16. The updated driver version is 20.19.15.4424 with a date of 3/31/16.

This update has made alot of things smooth now, especially some apps I was using. Overall feel is more polished now.

Happened with mine 2GB Surface 3 too.

Thanks for pointing this out. I'm surprised/disappointed that Windows Update didn't install this driver.

How did you find out about it? Is there a web page that lists current versions of drivers for the Surface 3?

Cheers

Well, the Windows update found it 'after' AU installation completed.

I am not seeing this update. My driver version is 10.18.15.4248 dated 8/4/2015. I already did the anniversary update. I also had a strange update after applying the anniversary update which was data 2/4/2016. I found that strange, but I applied it and everything seems to be fine.

Is anyone else running with this older display driver and also not seeing an update for the newer version?

if you didn't have issues before, then the update wouldn't make perfect things better

Looks like my surface 3 just got a firmware update today. I assume this will probably have the updated intel drivers, along with other updates. I'm installing it now.

I did ALL the updates just this morning. Cumulative update 14393.51, Intel HD Graphics driver, and firmware update. All separate. Everything seems to be working nicely. Except losing the lock screen background image when waking from sleep.

This will come back after a reset. The same thing happened to my surface 3.

or just wait for the next update to fix it

I am new to the surface, but I just had a utility tell me that I need to update my intel drivers. How do I check for sure what version driver I have, and does intel have an update utility that will keep my drivers utd automagically?

There is a Surface 3 msi file download from MS with all updates. Just search.

Latest from Jan. 2017
Download msi file and run. It will check and update.
