I just purchased a new Microsoft Surface 3? And I wonder that should I upgrade it to Windows 10 right now or not? Is the Windows 10 ready for Surface 3 or not? Is there any major problem for Windows 10 running on Surface 3 or not? :unhappysweat:

I was going to wait, but could not. I have been using 10 on two old laptops and it was fine. I am going to give 10 a shot on the surface 3 and see what happens. There are a couple of people here who had issues, but there are MANY people who have said the opposite. Just remember, to not use edge yet. Its a resource HOG and will cost you battery life and slow load times. On my two machines that I am running 10 on now, I use IE and its smooth and fast!

My Surface 3 has been running Win 10 since July 29 with no major issues at all. I do have one minor annoying issue on both the Surface 3 and a Dell i7 desktop. The MSN Weather app tile does not update. But that's obviously not a Surface 3 issue.

I would put it on the latest fastpath if you do and make sure all driver and firmware updates come through. It's a painfully slow process on the S3.

The first month or two of Win10 and Surface 3 were terrible. Only lingering issue now tends to be the digitizer's driver crashing. It's a widely reported issue.

How about the driver of the Surface 3, is there any driver crashing as it is the widely reported issue? Is there any steps for me to the first like updating the driver or the Surface's driver will get update automatically.. Sorry, I'm not really good in this, also in English..

12 Hrs in, I am loving w10. Fast as 8.1, smooth, love how it all works. Like I said, ditch edge for IE and everything is smooth and fast.

I had a hard time but mine is also an LTE version. Which have been known to be a little more troublesome. The digitizer driver crashing seems to be the biggest problem for me but it has been about two weeks since I've had that happen. When it happens it can be fixed with a reboot.

Overall things are better now.

I just buy a Surface 3 (wifi version) with W8.1. I really want to update to w10, so I just want to know is the W10 ready for S3 to update yet? by this, I mean with a small number of issues and no issue with S-pen since I need it for my work. honestly, I like features in w10 more than w8.1, considering from my asus laptop. One more thing I have already done all windows updates, inc the optional ones but can't fine anywhere to update to w10 (even the ' Get w10 ap' does not appear). I hope someone can answer to my questions. THK

It works pretty well on the Surface 3. The only issues I've run across is sometimes the wifi goes squirrelly if I'm in a location where the signal goes in and out (damn you place of employment!) or the screen going black if I accidentally go immediately back into hibernation right after coming out.
