Hello,

I just wanted to ask if to the Surface 3 the same logic applies as to all other devices. You get office mobile for free if the device is <= 10.1 and you nee an Office 365 subscription if it is bigger. So the Surface 3 would fall into the latter category?! And Microsoft has now no own Tablet to sell that includes Office Mobile?

The second question is if you buy Office 2016 are the mobile apps included for more than one device?

Surface 3 is not a 'mobile' device in the traditional sense. They were offering free Office 365 subscription for one year.

If you get Office 365 you have the ability to download Office 2016 on to your Surface 3 and depending on the licence you get, four other computers. As well as iOS and Android devices.

On WP (W10 mobile) it is free.

Ok - so for any device that has the normal (non mobile) Windows 10 the offer with free Office Mobile apps doesn't apply?

Correct.

You get a free year of Office 365 with Surface 3.

Keep in mind that the Surface line is a full PC so same rules apply as if you were buying a laptop or other PC.

Ah, ok. Good to know about that. Wasn't aware of the difference between Win10 and WM10. Thanks for clarification!
