I am looking to get a Surface Book, whether that be a SB2 or the next model. As Microsoft generally does Surface refreshes every two years, I am expecting a new model next year. My current laptop is running an ancient i5 3300 and I upgraded to 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. It is running really slowly, and is almost unusable now(I suspect it will die soon).
I am torn because Microsoft may add Thunderbolt to the SB3 next year, which I really want, but at the same time, my current laptop is too unreliable to get me through school.
I have the option to get a new laptop during Black Friday this year, or Black Friday next year. I really like the SB2. Should I wait, or buy this month?
