Windows Central Question

Hello,

I bought my new Surface Book i7 with Nvidia GPU not more than two months ago and now I have encountered a very bad problem, I was hoping to find some answers.

Yesterday I have turned off my device or so I thought, at least it was supposed to be sleeping because I closed it. However after returning home it was running and it was very hot, I mean it was really really hot!

I didn't think anything at the moment and we used the device even afterward to watch a movie but in the morning I was surprised.

Apparently games which worked very well before are having major frame rate issues now, first I was confused but then I realized how hot the device was yesterday..

My device seems to have been damaged because of the heat!
It doesn't run like before and I haven't done anything wrong, the device should at least have been in sleep mode but it wasn't and now it broken, this is very frustrating!

I've already replaced in my first Surface Book at my local store with a new one because the first one had a dead pixel on the screen. And now this?!

What happens now? Will I get another replacement? How new will my replacement be? How long will I have to wait until I can get my replacement? I use this Surface Book for my work as well, it is imperative that I can get a replacement as fast as possible..

Thanks for your help!
Kind Regards

I have had multiple instances where games dropped in frame rates. I finally figured out that when i went into device manager, i noticed the NVidia card had an exclamation next to it saying the computer needed to be rebooted for the device to work again. Reboot until there is no exclamation mark.
