Surface hardware upgrade

Is it possible to upgrade hardware components like RAM and SSD on the new Surface Pro?

I'll bet you one that you can't.

(okay fine, maybe you can upgrade the SSD but you either will have to disassemble it, with an excessively high risk of damage or go the Surface Pro 3 route and take a dremel to the back and maybe cut out a window to the SSD.)

As I've said, you do NOT but Surface devices for their ease of repair and upgrades.

It is not possible to upgrade any Surface components. This has always been the way since the very first Surface Pro, I believe.
