And you should never assume that you have to buy the official pen.

if you Google it you'll see a bunch of links saying that you have to use the pen that aligns with the brand. you'll see articles trying to explain to you why this is, which will say that it's just a really restrictive market and there's not very many types of touch screens and so there's just not enough differentiation yet for anyone to be making third party generalized devices.

And that is all nonsense there's like two or you could argue three types of pen technologies. there are generic styluses for all of them. just figure out which technology the device you're looking at uses and then type in stylus for that and then go to Reddit and find Reddit post so people talking about it find a post for someone seems to know what they're talking about and then just get the pen that they're discussing.

it'll be like $30 max as opposed to 70 to $150.
