Hello,

I've got a Surface Pro 4, i5 4gb.

Now I know 4gb isn't a huge amount, but it shouldn't be lagging and consuming nearly all memory, I used to run a desktop PC with 4gb on Windows 10 and it was fine.

I've recently reset the Surface and it's running much better, it removed the following apps, I'm going to post a list I'd be interested if anyone can tell me if any of them are known to cause performance issues on the Surface?

Rather than pasting a list I've linked the HTML fine Windows created when I reset and added it to my OneDrive public space.

Now onto the memory issue, it seems a bit mad to me, before I reset even at 60% memory the thing was running insanely slow and lagging , now not so bad, but currently it's at 83% memory and all I've got running is:

3 Chrome tabs
Microsoft Outlook
A folder

There must be some issue??? I'm sure if I put Windows 7 on it'd run lightning fast, I wanted to do this with an external HDD (Any links/guides to do this) as I'd not want it on my main HDD as certainly won't use it over Windows 10.

Any help would be much appreciated! thanks.

It's possible you have some errant programs that are running on start up or in the background. Have you looked at Task Manager? It could be something small or a combination of some programs.
