Hi

Does anyone know how to enable 3 finger swipe for forward and back on the touchpad? This has been a feature on every laptop I've used for ages but doesn't appear to be available on the Surface Pro 4.

It's quite annoying to have to ALT + Left / Right to do this via a shortcut.

The only options I can see for 3 finger swiping is either 'nothing' or 'switching apps'.

Cheers

Its two-finger swipe

Cheers but that shows 2 finger drag to scroll, pan / zoom rather than 'back left' or 'back right'.

I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned this as it's quite a common function for a trackpad?

Not with this trackpad....use alt+left arrow (or backspace) to go back and alt+right arrow to forward

Search for touch gestures app in the store. It allows you to customize gestures to whatever you want.
The Touchme gestures app is really impressive but the lack of trackpad swiping options are annoying as hell.

The trackpad supports 3 finger swiping so surely they can allow for this to be customized?

It works for me. The trick is to not lift your fingers from the trackpad after the swipe. If you swipe with 3 fingers and immediately lift your fingers, you'll just switch to the "next" app. But if you swipe and keep your fingers on the trackpad, you'll get the list of active apps, and then you just keep sliding your fingers in one direction or the other to select the desired app to switch to.

I've tried the above and all it does it shows active apps to flick through. It doesn't actually do a 'back' or 'forwards' action as in what 'Alt' + Left / Right Arrow' would do. Cheers

Does swiping up with three fingers bring up task view?

Or swiping down with three fingers minimize everything?

Yeah it does both of these fine. To be honest it's turned from a major annoyance to a bit of a niggle that I'm learning to deal with. :)
