Should I buy the Microsoft Surface Pro or the Samsung Galaxy Book?
The Samsung Galaxy Book, available in both 10-inch and 12-inch options, is a direct competitor to Microsoft's updated Surface Pro. Both predecessors, the Galaxy TabPro S and the Surface Pro 4, make our list of the best 2-in-1 laptops, so there's no questioning we're excited about these updated devices. How does the Galaxy Book stack up against the new Surface Pro? Let's take a look in our head-to-head comparison.

It is surface pro for me, i find it the best well built device in this category, with no compromises

IMO, The fact that the Surface PRO has the kickstand makes it a better product. I don't think people realize how valuable it is until they try it out. I have a Surface 3 and I use it daily,, weather to watch a movie or to look at a recipe while cooking. I can't wait to upgrade to a SURFACE PRO in the near future.

I need to replace my gen 1 surface and have been been taking a long look at the galaxy book. While I'd love a surface 4, the price difference is just too great.
I'm primarily using it for when I work out of my home office (which I do about once a week). So light email, Internet and word processing. Given that I'm looking at the core m no matter what I buy I'm just not sure I can justify the $300+ difference when you factor in the cost of the type pad and pen (which doesn't come with the m3 surface.) that and Samsung has a student discount (grad student) and 12 month same as cash. I'm going to wait a bit to pull the trigger and see if the gen 4 surface drops in price.
