Swipe right dismiss read-aloud

In Windows 8-8.1 you could swipe right to dismiss an incoming text while connected to speakers and not have them even ask to read it aloud. How do you do this in Windows 10? Is it gone or what?

I'm not 100% sure if this works, haven't tried, but swiping up dismisses notifications in Windows 10.

tried that. doesn't work. The message goes away but Cortana keeps talking.
