switching between 2g/3/g/4g

Hi..
how do I get my phone to switch from 4g to 2g and stay on 2g, I changed it in network selection but it keeps switching back to 4g..
any advise?

See this thread. Just do not power off your phone it will stay in 2g mode. Once you power off and then back on it will revert back to 4g/2g

Dial ##3282#
Choose ... Settings
Change network selection to 2g

I have just purchase a " New Resistive Touch Screen Unlocked Quad Band GSM T Mobile Phone Cell Phone . It can with a 2G and I need to switch it over to a 4G. Can someone advise me on how to switch it to a 4G.
