Switching gamertags

Hey guys,

Does switching gamertags transfer my app purchases from my old account to the new one?

Not sure but they should transfer as well. I do know that switching gamertags isn't free though.

Nice. To correct myself, I WAS doing something different. I saw you can switch from one Microsoft Account to another. That might be free but I want to keep my existing MS account. In that case, you may lose what you have.

You can call MS and they can move the gamer tag to another MS account. Purchases transfer too. The other MS ( outlook ) account must not have a gamer tag.

You can keep your MS account and move the gamertag. You just have to call them.

No actually purchases are linked to the Microsoft account not the gamer tag.
