System Apps not updating/open.

I'm currently running Windows Phone 8.1. I haven't been able to use my system apps for reasons I do not know. I can't open them or update them. It just comes out as an error.

If anyone could help me out with this, that would be great! Thanks.

Do you mean your Store is giving you a notification that some system apps need to be updated, but when you try to open them in the store and download them you get an error? I got the same issue as well, and had to try few times before it worked out. Just exit the store and try again.

It would be useful to provide more information, which system apps are not opening and what is the error message you are receiving?
BTW have you checked that your system date(especially year) is correct?
