First of all, go buy it :)

If you're a Tmo user, you know the 635 has been quite expensive for us at $99 for months now, compared to the crazy good deals the ATT version has had at around $40. Getting the 635 at $68 is a great deal for Tmo users as even if you pay the regular $30 unlocking fee, it'd cost you $100 total, whereas the unlocked 635 usually costs upwards of $150, so you're saving $50 right there as a minimum.

I have been using a cracked 920 for the past 3 months and was growing really tired of the screen, plus having no new flagships was also kind of a drag. For essentially $70 and not much of a downgrade from my 920, a 635 can keep you going nicely until fall 2015 and W10 phones.

Happy buying!

It's definitely a good phone, but still a downgrade from a 920. Just be aware of what you're getting people into.

Yeah, as I said in my OP, it's certainly a downgrade, but at this price it's worth it as even unlocking it later will be cheaper than buying it unlocked outright. Also, considering my 920 has half the screen cracked, overheats and the battery is going crazy lately... pretty sure the 635 sounds like a pretty good deal in comparison and it'll get me through 2015 until new flagships come out :)

It can be a downgrade, but the big picture has to be taken into consideration. A brand new or manufacturer refurbished 920 for the same price as a 635, no brainer, take the 920. An 18 month old 920 that has seen 500+ battery cycles and thousands of button presses, been dropped numerous times, has sweat and funk in the earpiece and microphone, etc, etc vs a 635 that is half the price or less., and is brand new.. suddenly it becomes more of a side grade.
