T899M Ativ S WiFi issues

Apparently, this device is notorious for developing all kinds of WiFi problems, and it appears that I've caught onto one of those as well.

WiFi on Ativ S (T899M) works for 10-15 seconds, and simply stops afterwards.

Already checked the "Run under lockscreen" option, got into and out of powersaver mode, hard reset, soft reset, factory reset, etc. Same problem.

Phone is running 8.0.10521.155, firmware revision 2212.13.6.1 and is Developer + Interop Unlocked.
WiFi network is 2.4GHz, password protected. Tried removing password, changing channel, etc. No go.

If anyone can suggest a solution/some info, please help.

Firmware update on wifi router... you likely tried that of course. Use a WPA2/AES as those settings are often more reliable on routers due to being a hardware implementation in the wifi chipset.
