Tablet Mode: Gesture for "Back"

Many applications (Edge, News, Windows Store just to list a few) do provide the ability to move back to the previous page either clicking on the left arrow on the title bar of the App or on the left arrow, down left on the status bar (there may be some keyboard shortcuts as well).
However, in Tablet Mode, to maximize screen surface available to the App, the title bar disappear and you can ask for the status bar to automatically hide away.
As a result it seems there is no way to go back in "one touch" (of course, swiping the top edge down or bottom edge up will make the title or status bar appear again but that's a two-step approach).
Is there any gesture that enables one-step "Back" request in Apps for Tablet Mode Windows 10 devices?
Thanks and regards, Pierre

Honestly the best option I have for you is to leave the taskbar on the screen all the time. (I believe you refer to it as the status bar here)

Yes indeed, sorry - I was refering to the taskbar.

Regarding letting the taskbar always on screen; other options would be to switch tablet mode off all the time (the title bar of application are then shown). But my question was precisely on how to request a one-step "Back" action without having to compromise the full-screen Apps in tablet mode.

I'll keep tablet mode on and auto-hiding taskbar while going for the two-step "Back" action :-(

Thanks anyway :-) !

Microsoft's customers have been providing a spirited selection of gestures suggesting they take one step back for some time. None have worked.

That said, no. Touch was depreciated when we moved to W10 so don't expect much development in that area. Best to find a third party gesture system, though there aren't any really stand out ones that I've been able to find.

Can't you swipe from Left to Right to go back, and right to left to go forward??

Or: swipe up (from bottom to top) with four fingers and see ALL open apps:)
