Taking Video: iPhone vs. WP

I used a friend's iPhone today to shoot video. I shot primarily slow motion and it was incredibly smooth. All I could think about was that WP should have smooth video like that too. Why do WPs only shoot in 30fps vs. 120? To offer an excellent photo and video experience, you need to include things like good frame rate don't you think?
 
To get 120fps you need a camera module that supports 120fps. At moment no windows phone have this this kind of camera module. Microsoft /Sony/Samsung or any other oem may opt for new camera modules :)

Yes, I know why they literally don't, but I was wondering what the reasoning is behind the decision to only shoot in 30fps, even with new phones like the Icon.
