The app list looks horrible!

When you see him swipe to the app list you suddenly see a disturbing vertical line where some ugly white landscape with only 10% transparency pops up. This looks absolutely horrible and inferior to the experience you get in wp8.1. Also I hope you can turn of the recent installed apps at the top because I often install stuff that I don't use a lot at all. And o my god I can't stop being amazed how ugly this white space is that breaks with the start screen. It now feels like you swipe between two environments instead of the feel of one environment you get in wp8.1. Please feel welcome to share your hate.
