When looking at drives to install inside your network-attached storage (NAS) enclosure, it has to be those that are specifically designed for server use. You could get away with re-using those old desktop PC drives you have lying around, but I would recommend it. Data stored on NAS is usually important enough to use RAID and other protective measures, so it's wise to use the best drives.
